Dr. West has worked as a manager of product development as well as Sales & Marketing of several advanced technology companies. He is a goal-oriented manager that works well with technical as well as non-technical associates.  He is the author of 20 United States and foreign patents. Dr. West has served on numerous government committees including the National Nanotechnology Initiative.

AFMWorkshop offers atomic force microscopes for nanotechnology research, instrument innovation , and education. Its primary customers are scientists and engineers with bigger ideas than budgets. AFMWorkshop supports its customers through workshops in the construction, operation and application of atomic force microscopes.

Pacific NanoTechnology

Pacific NanoTechnology offered atomic force microscopes to the emerging nanotechnology markets that were high performance, easy to use, and affordable. Pacific Nanotechnologies was acquired by Agilent in 2009.

ThermoMicroscopes

ThermoMicroscopes developed, manufactured and marketed scanning probe microscopes for research, nanotechnology, process development, and analytical applications in universities, corporations and government laboratories. In 2001 Thermomicroscopes was acquired by Veeco.
1990 – 1998:

TopoMetrix, Inc.

TopoMetrix developed, manufactured and marketed scanning probe microscopes. TopoMetrix was a world leader in the probe microscope market. TopoMetrix was acquired by ThermoElectron in 1998.

Aerojet Electrosystems

Aerojet-Asuza develops and manufactures high performance infrared sensors for military satellite applications.
